Alberta’s Top Employers: ASEBP Earns a Top Spot
We are one of Alberta's Top Employers! ASEBP is more than proud to receive this award for 2023. We continually strive to support wellness in our community, providing comprehensive health benefits, programs, and services to Alberta’s public education sector while delivering a workplace that is committed to the success of the employees who make it all possible.
Our employees are at the heart of what we do. It is their commitment to continued excellence that has helped us earn the honour of being recognized as one of Alberta’s Top Employers!
Celebrating Black History
February is Black History Month—an opportunity to celebrate the history, culture, and continuous contributions of Black Canadians. Although we at ASEBP know that Black people deserve to be celebrated and appreciated throughout the year, and we work diligently to do so, we like using this dedicated month to share more information about the wonderful achievements and excellence of Black Canadians and the creative ways schools and school boards in Alberta are marking the month.
A New Year's Message
When I look back on 2022, I am so proud of all that we accomplished together. Without meaningful engagement and ongoing feedback from you, our covered members and employers, ASEBP would not have been able to achieve what we have in the past year.
Your New EFAP Has Arrived
December is here, and that means so is your new Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)! Through our partnership with Inkblot, we are pleased to offer you this new program, which better aligns with and complements our other benefit offerings, like psychology services.
How to Access the EFAP
As a digital-first organization, Inkblot offers the majority of their services virtually, but phone and in-person services are available, too.
Education Worker Recognition Week 2022
This school year, getting back to normal has felt great—for all of us. And as we settle into new routines, we would like to recognize how much education workers’ commitment to building vibrant and healthy school communities means to everyone.
That’s why, for a second year, we are organizing Education Worker Recognition Week. We want all education workers, no matter their role, to feel appreciated and supported.
Honouring Truth and Reconciliation
Content warning: this statement contains references to the residential school system.
Later this week, on September 30, Canada will mark National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. I am proud that ASEBP will be joining people and organizations across the country in recognizing this important day.
