MyRetiree Plan: Changes to Your Plan

  • ASEBP News
May. 28, 2025

On July 1, 2025, ASEBP is making thoughtful changes to the MyRetiree Plan enrolment and termination policies. These changes were made with you in mind and include three updates:

  1. Shortened Commitment Periods
Covered members on the Enhanced Plans are currently on a 2-year commitment before being able to change their coverage level. Starting July 1, new Enhanced Plan members will only need to commit to 1-year at the Enhanced Plan level and any existing Enhanced Plan members. Will only need to have satisfied 1 year on the Plan. This new change gives members more flexibility to adjust coverage as their health and lifestyle needs change.

  2. Balanced Re-enrolment Policy
If a member needs to leave their Enhanced Plan early, they can come back to the plan after a 1 year waiting period, or by providing ASEBP proof of loss through another provider.

Important note: The 1 year period only applies to the Enhanced Plan with Extended Health Care and Vision coverage. Dental coverage cannot be added unless proof of loss can be supplied to ASEBP.

  3. Dental Plan Integrity Maintained
Covered members on either the Enhanced Plan or the Core Plan, who end their coverage after enrolling, will not be able to participate in any MyRetiree Plan dental coverage options unless proof of loss through another provider is supplied.
