The Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP) is aware that teachers will vote in early May on a recommended settlement between the Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association (TEBA) and the Alberta Teachers’ Association following mediation. ASEBP understands part of the recommendations include ASEBP benefit coverage as well as the Sick Leave Support Program.

Please know ASEBP is poised to support teachers across Alberta should they choose to endorse the proposed settlement.

For more than 55 years, ASEBP has been promoting, protecting, and improving the health of teachers and other education workers by providing comprehensive benefit products and services. This includes helping you access health care services quicker during the 90-day sick leave period if you get ill or injured and coordinating a return to work with your employer once you are medically cleared to do so.
